Phil and Chris McCarthy have been farming Scottish Highland Cattle on their forty acre Waipu property for the last eight years.

Waipu was settled 154 years ago by a courageous group of Scottish Highlanders who traveled half way around the world from the island of Nova Scotia, lead by the Rev Norman McLeod.

Waipu is now a thriving wee town right on the coast, one and a half hours drive north of Auckland, the ideal country to farm Highland Cattle.
