In the mid eighties Lauril and Drew Stein began breeding Highland Cattle, having purchased some of the best available breeding stock in New Zealand.  These first animals were registered in Scotland and could trace their pedigrees back to the Queen’s Balmoral Fold.  Imported straws were used and so ‘Trossachs Highlands’ became an entity in its own right.

Since that time, Trossachs Highlands has continued to grow, based on the principle of ‘only breeding quality stock’, and have continually been at the forefront of the Highland Cattle industry.
